Extra Curricular Music 2024 - 2025

Choir

This year we are very excited to be rehearsing for a special Let's Go Sing concert at The Opera House, Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Our concert is in March and we are working very hard to learn all the songs, actions and dances!

We also enjoy performing in school, and sang a variety of Christmas songs for everyone during MADD week.

As a reward for all our hard work, we went to Burnley College in December to watch their panto Sleeping Beauty. We had a wonderfull time!

Keyboards

Children in Year 5 are learning to play the keyboard. We are working towards a performance at the end of the summer term.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Members of the school choir visited Burnley College in May to watch their brilliant performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We had a wonderful time and some of the children now want to consider Performing Arts courses when they're older.

 

Lets' Go Sing

On 4th March, our school choir performed at King George’s Hall in Blackburn, alongside hundreds of children from other schools across Lancashire.

We had such a fantastic time, singing and dancing together!

Wizard of Oz

As a reward for all their hard work, and to be further inspired, members of the choir went to Burnley College to watch their performance of the Wizard of Oz.

Asda

Members of the school choir sang Christmas songs at Asda. Lots of the customers told us how happy we had made them and some of them joined in singing with us. One lady even cried, but she said they were happy tears! People bought chocolates for us and we raised lots of money for the Tickled Pink charity.
